Bita Hair Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) — a trading name of Intelligent British Cooperation Ltd, company no. 12867851 — trading from 25 Queensway, Southampton SO14 3BL, United Kingdom, takes your privacy seriously. This page explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and how it’s handled.
What we collect
- Booking details — name, email, phone number, and appointment details when you book online.
- Order details — name, email, phone number, and order details when you buy gift vouchers or products through our shop.
- Enquiry details — name, email, phone number, and message content when you use our contact form.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details ourselves.
- Basic site analytics — page views and general visit information, via a first-party analytics script, to understand how the site is used.
Why we collect it
To take and manage bookings, process orders and payments, respond to enquiries, send you appointment confirmations and reminders, and to run and improve this website. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for anything beyond running the salon and this site.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — to process payments securely. See Stripe’s own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
- Cloudflare — our hosting and security provider, and the infrastructure our booking system and contact form run on.
- Resend — used to send booking confirmations and reminders by email.
We don’t share your data with anyone else, and never for marketing purposes without your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and order records for as long as reasonably needed for business, accounting, and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to any legal obligations we have to keep certain records (such as payment records for tax purposes).
Cookies and local storage
This site uses essential technical storage only for customers — for example, remembering what’s in your shop basket on your own device. If you sign in as staff, a secure login cookie keeps you signed in. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages, outside our control.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to how it’s used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at bitahairstudio@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how your data is handled.
